About the Game
Fauna lay eggs as they level up. Eggs can be hatched to create new Fauna or traded between players.
12 Fauna breeds to adopt and care for, with an endless array of visual variations to explore. Players can try to breed Fauna for specific traits, or can purchase special items to transform them.
Players can customize their own corner of the world by designing a Faunasphere to shelter their Fauna. Items to decorate and improve a player’s Faunasphere can be collected via game play, traded between players, or purchased.
Players advance through the world via unique, non-violent game play. Fauna clean up pollution and complete tasks to earn game currency and level up.
The game can be played as a no-commitment diversion, but offers deeper involvement for committed players.
Big Fish Games is currently working on a casual MMO called Faunasphere that is currently in beta, but is scheduled to launch August 2009. The world of Moshi Monsters has been created by Mind Candy, a company that loves developing games and new forms of interactive entertainment. Visitors to the site can adopt their very own pet Monster, give it a name and design its color scheme. Each Monster has a lively personality that develops the more it is played with. Monster owners can nuture their pet by solving daily puzzle games to earn Rox, the in-game currency. Rox can be used to buy weird and wonderful things in the virtual shop to keep Monsters healthy and happy. Monster owners can make new friends and connect with existing friends through a wide variety of safe social networking features such as Monster blogs, Newsfeeds, pinboards and buddy lists.

Although this game has been out for quite some time, it seems like not much people actually knows about it. I guess people are more familiar with Pet Society or Neopets. As compared to Pet Society, I think Moshi Monsters is better as you are able to earn in the game as there are more puzzles to play. I used to play Neopets long long long ago but because there isn’t much interaction between the pet and owner so I actually gave it up when the trend dies down.
Moshi Monsters on the other hand is quite interesting as they develop their own unique personalities depending on how well, or badly, they’ve been treated. You can interact with your pets by tickling them, playing games, shopping, designing their rooms, and shortly by dressing them up. The in-game currency known as Rox can be earned in a following ways. Each day, you can play Challenge Puzzles by clicking the puzzle button in your room. Although you can only play them once a day, but they’re a really good way to get Rox! You can earn more by playing around Monstro City. Flex your fingers in the power station or the flutterby fields and rack up those Rox.
Another interesting feature of Moshi Monsters is that you can get little pets for your monsters that are found in the wild places around Monstro City. They love flowers so the way to get them is to buy flowers seeds and grow 3 flowers in the garden found on the map. When they’ve grown you’ll see if you’ve attracted a Moshling. If you haven’t, no worries as the Cluekoo will help you out. Some Moshlings are easy to catch and will be attracted by any color of flower, but the really rare Moshlings are picky, and you can only attract them if you get the exact flower colour right. You can only keep up to 2 Moshlings at a time if you are not a member and members can keep up to 40 Moshlings. I managed to make up a list with screenshots and combinations, feel free to download.
