Facebook Games - Uno

It’s amazing how many great games are on Facebook nowadays. Uno, a popular family card game which happens to be one of my favorite childhood games is currently now available on Facebook but still in Beta. Uno is a card game that has players matching colors and numbers of their cards to get all of the cards out of their hand before their opponent does and the first person to finish their cards wins the game. If they can’t find a match to the top card in this discard pile, they have to draw cards until they can match the color or number or until they get a wild card. Yup, it’s the same nice card game except that now it is online and you can save the hassle of shuffling and giving out the cards.

Getting started with the game is pretty easy, you can choose to wait at the lobby to play with your friends who are currently online or you can play with other available players on Facebook. A chatbox is available during gameplay so feel free to chat up with your friends who are overseas or you may take this opportunity to make new friends. Normally I don’t use that as I don’t have the habit of speaking with strangers as you don’t know who you will be dealing with but so far so good, all of them have been pretty nice people.

I guess most of you are pretty familiar with the gameplay so I shall skip on how to play the game. Do remember to press the “say Uno” button when you have a card left if not you will be given a penalty of two cards. But while you are going to press that, please make sure that your speakers or earphones are not turned up loud which I didn’t know at first so I almost jumped out of my skin when my earphones shouted “UNO” in my ears. LOL! How timid I am! An award will be given to you to post on your wall if you win the game which is pretty cool for some but normally I try not to post anything as my boss is part of my Facebook network. He doesn’t mind us playing games at work sometimes but then we can’t be too open about it right? After all he’s the one paying our salary!

Overall, I find the game pretty awesome even though there are some bugs now and then probably due to connection issues or whatever that I’m not so sure of. UNO is a great multi-player game that lets you stay connected to your friends all over the world on Facebook!
