Read on for the Fiona Finch and the Finest Flowers game review
Fiona Finch and the Finest Flowers is a time management game with a garden feel. The gameplay is pretty close to Farm Frenzy but instead of animals, you will work with flowers, plants and fruits. As you proceed through the game, you will unlock more machines and upgrades that will help you creating more products for better profits.
The storyline for the game was pretty long winded and because we know that she had won the competition, the rest of the storyline was just a flashback through the journey she took to win the competition. I would have preferred if the storyline was not the flashbacks but more like an ongoing journey to win the competition. At least there’s a sense of achievement when we can work on the garden towards winning the competition.
There are 2 gameplay modes available in the game, the Story Mode and the Free Gardening Mode. In Story Mode, there are a total of 7 garden levels available for gameplay and each garden takes around an estimated time of an hour or more to complete which means you are able to complete the whole story in an estimated time of 8 hours. As each garden level isn’t timed, you can always take your own sweet time to complete each garden level. As for Free Gardening Mode, you don’t need to complete the whole story before you can access this mode. Players can continue to play in this Free Gardening mode to unlock the trophies that can be only found in this mode.
In Story Mode, every garden level requires Fiona to fulfill the necessary requirements in order to proceed to the next garden. For example, Fiona needs to have a certain amount of plants in the garden, free from weeds and of course a certain amount of money that she have gotten from sales. Time from time there will be customer orders coming in and it may be more than 1 customer order at the same time. The best way to be able to finish all 3 orders at one time is to prepare the flowers or products in advance and also choose to do the order which you are able to complete at the shortest time. Yes, in fact I always keep both pruned and not pruned flowers of the same kind in my garden so that I do not have to wait for them to grow to complete the order. These orders offer quite a pretty cash boost to your earnings and as well will also earn you a new flower crossbreed recipe.
Most of your time will be spent planting and tending to your flowerbeds like pruning them if you want to, keeping them well watered, giving plant food and keeping them free from pests. Other than fulfilling the customer’s orders, the rest of the time will be probably spent by harvesting the fruits and turning them into products. You get to earn new upgrades like sprinkles, improved machines and newer machines for new products. You also have to crossbreed the flowers to get new flower species as they are needed to fulfill the requirements needed for the level.
Overall, I find the game pretty interesting especially the part where you get to crossbreed the flowers to get new species. The only thing which I didn’t like was the long winded storyline which is pretty boring at times. With the cute and easy gameplay this game is recommended for all and especially time management fans to play this game to ease their time management game craving!

As I may have previously mentioned in some of the other comments I posted, TM games are my absolute favorite. So it comes as no surprise that I absolutely loved this game! The beta version only allows you to play the first 3 gardens, but there is no time limit in any of the 3 levels, not is there a time limit to the beta game itself, so you can take as long as you need to play. The game is actually more of a TM combined with Strategy/Tycoon, which makes the concept of the game rather unique and really sets it apart from any other game I’ve played. The instructions were well written, which made the game play very easy to grasp. The only issue that I came across (and it’s really more of an opinion than an actual issue) was that the sounds to notify the player when a task is due were not loud enough. I’m really looking forward to buying the full version when it’s released.
Hi Stacey, thanks for the comments. Glad you enjoyed the game!
I was enjoying the game till it came time to buy the, ‘waterpump’ because it won’t let me buy it! Had no problem buying the Oven but I cannot get that waterpump. I even tried stopping/quitting the game and playing again but came across same problem.
Suggestions anyone? Other then that, it’s a very good game…
It was alright but probably wouldn’t buy it
Hi Cyndi, I don’t seem to have any problem with the water pump. Manage to complete all 3 gardens with no problem. The only problem I had was… There wasn’t enough gardens to play! Haha!
Hi Tracy C, thanks for stopping by!
I really liked this game. It was easy to figure out and was interesting enough to keep myself interested. I would like the option of decorating the garden with different things. I had no problem with the water pump was able to get it and use it. However it was impossible to serve more than one order because of the machines did not make it fast enough. I wish you could have served more than one order at a time.
Hi Tracy, thanks for your comments. I guess they will do something about the 3 orders once the final game is out.:)
Not a bad game, but I wouldn’t buy it. Time Management games are not my favourite genre, although I have played, and thoroughly enjoyed some. The graphics were nice, but there was something that just didn’t quite get me interested enough to really enjoy the game.
Hi Jenny, thanks for the comments.
this a great game loved playing it even though tm games are not my favorite. i always give it a try. game was very easy to learn & gain trophies, ok game.
to me typical tm always the same, they to spice it up a bit more. din’t really turn me on ty
