A reclusive author has asked for your help! Travel to the mysterious world of Enlightenus and use your detective skills to track down Edgar Lee’s missing novels! Explore an entirely different maze full of perplexing puzzles and intricate locks, as you collect each chapter of the missing books. This unique Hidden Object Adventure game challenges you to solve each riddle in order to escape the land of Enlightenus!

  • Unique gameplay
  • Find the missing novels!

Love hidden object games with an adventure feel? Don’t miss out one of the currently best selling hidden object games - Enlightenus. You will start off the game as Inspector Doubleleaf, called in by a famous novelist to unravel a strange mystery at his mansion where someone or something has stolen all his novels.

Before you begin this game, please take note that because this game gives you freedom to move from room to room you might actually have the tendency to get lost easily. No worries about that as I have also included a game walkthrough link at the end of the page for your easy reference just in case you really do get lost. And on top of that, if you revisit the same hidden object scene with a new find list, things will be different and whatever item you might have fixed on the first visit will be broken when you get back the second time. Probably will be a little frustrating because of that but if you’re armed with a walkthrough, it shouldn’t be a problem. Except that having a walkthrough might just kill the gaming experience so it’s up to your preference on how you might wish to play the game.

As you explore from room to room, discovering and using the inventory items, the pages of the novels turns into a hidden object scene. Unlike most hidden object games where you have to find all the items in the list, you actually need to take objects from the list and put them back where they belong with the help of the text clues that appear as you move the objects.

Even though this is not your average type of hidden object game which happens to be a little too challenging for me at times especially there’s isn’t a hint system to guide you around but still I find it pretty interesting and I really like the inspirational quotes. Packed with mini games and 14 hidden object game scenes, Enlightenus proves to be a refreshing and fun adventure type of hidden object game. A must try game if you are up for challenges!

PC Games - Aveyond - Lord of Twilight

Solve dozens of adventure puzzles and explore an enchanting world! Aveyond: Lord of Twilight is packed with monsters, magic, and humor. Stop an evil vampire lord from plunging the world into darkness and enslaving humanity. Explore lush tropical forests, arid deserts, mystical woodlands and more. Soar to dizzying heights and descend to the depths of the Underworld in this awesome RPG adventure!

  • Solve dozens of quests
  • Choose your difficulty level
  • Explore dozens of lands
  • Raise pets and collects eggs

I still remembered playing the very first sequel of the Aveyond series around three years ago when it first started and I was totally hooked on it. In fact, I even took leave for the next day as I really wanted to complete the game asap without losing sleep and concentration over it. But of course the game was longer than what I expected so I took about a week to finish it. So after playing the first sequel to it, I did keep my loyalty on the second and of course the third sequel that was just been released - Aveyond - Lord of Twilight.

For those who have already played the first and second sequel, you probably know what to expect and most likely is already playing the game like I am right now. Aveyond - Lord of Twilight is basically a strategy and RPG game where you get to explore through different lands to level up and completing quests.  A nice feature to this game is that you can choose your difficulty level easy, normal and expert modes of play. You can either jump head-on into the game or you can opt for a tutorial if you need help. No worries if you’re afraid you might forget which tasks you are on when you start the game the next day as they do have a journal to keep you reminded on the outstanding tasks.

Overall I would say that the graphics of this game are really nice and cute with interesting characters and quests. If you like games with a hint of adventure and fantasy in an RPG game, do not miss this game out as this game is really addictive, it’s really hard to put it down when you have started. As for now, I’m suppressing the urge to stop working on the post and to play the game instead which is true as this post was a little late as I couldn’t stop playing the game. So please remember to complete any chores or homework you have before you start the game!

PC Games–Emerald City Confidential

PC Games – Emerald City Confidential

The magical Land of Oz has never seemed so gritty! Petra is the only private detective in this reimagining of the Emerald City, so it is up to her to find Dee Gale’s missing fiancé. Dive deep into the seedy underbelly of the criminal underground, and track down the kidnappers, as well as learn a few secrets about Petra! This sprawling Adventure game pulls out all the stops!

  • Film noir style mystery
  • Beautiful hand drawn art
  • Intriguing Puzzles
  • In-game Strategy Guide

Emerald City Confidential is an adventure game with 50 quests, which means you will be clicking on people to have conversations to get clues on where to go and what to do next. You start off the game as Petra, a young detective trying to make ends meet and who is especially touchy over the topic of her missing brother. If you find anything that you think is suspicious and would like to know more about it, simply click on it and Petra will describe it, use it, or even explain what is needed to use it. At every completion of each quest you’ll receive a gem, collect all 50 gems and you will complete the game.

Moving from one place to another is easy as you just have to go to the nearest Gump Stand and a Gump Taxi will bring you to the main map where you can click on the area you would like to go. Don’t worry about getting lost in the game as you can click on the hint button in your notebook anytime for more reference. You also don’t have to worry about picking the wrong sentence for every conversation as you will get to the right one eventually. There will not be any penalty for picking the wrong sentences in each conversation except that it will probably take you a longer time to complete but I guess this is fine as I find the conversations pretty amusing and entertaining to follow.

There will be 3 different colored buttons for you to collect and they are Red, Green and Yellow. They often appear as tiny sparkles during gameplay, click on them and they will be added to your inventory. After collecting the buttons, go to Scraps Store which is located next to your office building to exchange for pieces of concept art.

Overall I think this game is highly recommended for people who love adventure games but there will be a lot of reading to do. Just some side information, even though the characters are from the fairytale, The Land of Oz. I wouldn’t recommend this game for children as they are not your average Land of Oz characters cos whatever you know about them in the fairytale is not the same here. But then again I do love games from PlayFirst so any game that has PlayFirst trademark on it is definitely worth playing!
