Guide our yellow friend through the different paths of the mazes eating all the pills you find. But be careful with the ghosts! They are watching all the paths and are willing to make you stop no matter how much it takes.

I can’t believe that Jasmine freaked out when we requested her to do a review for this Facebook Game - Waka-Waka. After much persuasion, she decided to demonstrate once for us on my laptop on why she wouldn’t play it. Hahaha! For such an expert on time management games, the 1 who was able to finish the whole Youda Sushi game without even retrying a level when all of us struggled with it, I can’t believe that she couldn’t play well with directional buttons! No wonder she doesn’t play Maple Story at all when all of us were so caught up with it previously. Don’t worry Jas, you’re still the little princess in our eyes even though you can’t handle the directional buttons! So much for laughing, guess that’s why I’m here tonight. Okay Jasmine, you have another night off, rest well and good luck to the hidden object game that you have just received.

Waka-Waka is a Pac-Man game that is currently quite popular around most of our friends right now on Facebook. The purpose of the game still remains the same where you have to eat/collect all the dots and avoiding all the ghosts in order to complete the level. As usual there will be 4 larger dots at each corner for you to turn those pesky ghosts into pale ones where you can turn around and eat them back. On top of that, if you invite your friends to play or by publishing your results, you get to win a projectile which you can fire towards a ghost using your spacebar to send the ghost back to its home base at the center.

There are a few items that you can pick up along the way, taking the fruits will give you extra points for the levels, lightning that can give you a boost of speed for a short time, megaphone temporarily stuns the ghosts and the ice cubes freezes the ghosts for a few seconds. The best way to rake up your points is to successfully devour all 4 ghosts at 1 time as it gives you a big increase of 12,000 points!

Waka-Waka is a very nice game to pass your time and highly recommended for those who love playing Pac-Man Games. For once you can try to compete with all your friends and the rest of the world and see who is the best in it!

PC Games - Smash Frenzy 4 (Formerly Magic Ball 4)

Smash Frenzy 4

Smash Frenzy 4

Battle aliens and save the human race from total destruction in Smash Frenzy 4: a mind-blowing 3D smash ‘em up! The interactive objects and explosive visuals will amaze you right up to the end!

Aliens have entered our dimension and kidnapped thousands of men and women! Strap into your starship, transport the magic ball across space and launch it at the objects placed before you! If your aim is good, then you will return a hero! Power-ups will emerge from smashed items, interactive objects will keep you on your toes, and explosive 3D visuals will amaze you right up to the end!

* Four fantastical worlds
* Destructible 3D scenery
* Realistic physics
* Each level has its own storyline

Smash Frenzy 4 is a type of brick breaking game where your primary goal is clear the bricks or stuff in the game by guiding a paddle left and right to prevent the ball from hitting the ground. This time round, the storyline is based on alien invasion where you get to play through different levels with scenes of different parts of the world with different climates and cultures.

Power-ups are available as they roll down the screen and of course not all of them are good so you have to keep a look out on power-ups that has negative effects. Take extra care not to pick up the negative ones that has a skull icon to it or you may end up losing a life instead.

I’m not really crazy over this type of games but come to think of it, I do really have a number of such games on my desktop and laptop. Wondering why would I invest on such games when I’m not really crazy over it? Well… This type of games happens to be one of the easiest types of games to play and also as one of the most useful games to be kept around. I will label them as useful especially when you have friends or relatives who bring their kids over whenever they come to your home for a visit. In order to stop them from running and yelling everywhere in the house, most of the time I will choose to keep them entertained with such games. On top of that this type of game is also great on days you don’t feel like straining your eyes over hidden object games or simply too tired to stress yourself over time management games.

Rating: ★★★☆☆

PC Games - Chicken Attack Deluxe

Deluxe chicken brick-busting action!

Get ready for 119 levels of chicken brick-busting action! Mother hen Paula sets out to take on poultry hungry savages to rescue her chicks from the BBQ! Bring home your chicks as you blast your way though the levels, breaking bricks and collecting power-up worms along the way. Featuring humorous graphics, unique items and a ton of fun, you’ll be saving the day… one little chick at a time!

  • 119 Action-Packed Levels!
  • Eat Worms For Awesome Power-Ups!
  • Play In Normal Or Timed Mode!
  • Defeat The Poultry Hungry Savages!

Chicken Attack Deluxe is a nice break out game with a cute story line of you being the Mother hen out to save your little chicks by busting away the bricks to release them from the cages. Sounds cute but it takes some time to get use to the gameplay as the view is slightly tilted to 1 side. (Which initially I thought I might have accidentally shifted the view! Silly me!) Another difference is instead of moving left and right, you can actually move in all directions!

There are many different power-up drops in the games and they are separated by green worms which are the good ones and black worms as the bad ones. Chicken Attack Deluxe has some pretty cool and useful power-ups like bombs, mouse bullets, unstoppable ball, hard ball, rubber wire and back wall. You can accumulate bombs, mouse bullets and back walls which is a good thing except that you can’t accumulate bombs and mouse bullets at the same time. Try not to get extra balls if you are accumulating back walls as they destroy your barriers pretty fast.

Chicken Attack Deluxe is really a  nice break out games with cute looking graphics and I love especially how Mother Hen reacts whenever you complete a level. She just looks up to you, keeps her bar and walk away proudly. I wouldn’t say this game is easy as it’s pretty challenging and I find myself going “arrrrgh!” whenever I get a “game over” but then it’s still cute to see Mother Hen stomping on the bar and walking away in disgust. Well…. It’s cute to see her do that but you will probably scream when you find out that you can’t continue from where you left and have to start from the nearest level instead. (example, if you “game over” at level 34, you got to start from level 31 instead or if you end at level 39, you have to start back at level 36.)

I would say this is a good game for all who love playing break out games as it’s really entertaining and the levels are all different that you wouldn’t find them repetitive. For those who don’t normally play this genre of games, I will still recommend you to try this game out as it’s really fun and entertaining.

PC Games - Strike Ball 3

PC Games - Strike Ball 3

Strike Ball 3 could be the most extreme 3D Breakout game ever created! The stunning graphics alone would be enough to propel the game to fame, but the realistic physics and outrageously animated levels are what will knock your socks off. Have you ever seen a Breakout game in which a tank tries to fend off attacking aliens? Featuring spectacular level design, wildly fun bonuses and powerful new weapons, Strike Ball 3 takes Breakout games to explosive heights!

Okay, from the pictures and description, I think everyone could guess that this is a type of brick-busting game. Yes, you are absolutely right! This is indeed a brick-busting game! After few days of time management games, I decided to give this game a try. Wasn’t really familiar with this series which initially I thought the name of the game was “Strike 3 Ball” instead of “Strike Ball 3” due to the game logo at the game menu and this actually sent my younger brother laughing non-stop at my silliness! (Well… everyone is entitled to a bit of stupidity once in awhile, right?)

This game doesn’t really need much explanation on the controls as it’s really easy to pick up. (All you have to do is to move left and right to keep the ball up, haha!) But it was really hard to put it down as the colourful graphics and amazing sound effects keeps you hooked! Even though the graphics are a bit blocky but I think it’s pretty cool cos they are 3D! I remembered the last similar game that I played before was a more kid’s version called “Fizzball”

The game was in fact quite pretty to look at with everything or anything moving at the same time but I guess they are just out to confuse me and they did! I missed a few balls as I was too busy staring at the game scenery especially with those cute little robots that seems to be moving around pushing stuff!

There are many helpful items available during game play, like bombs that explode all the scenery or hindering items like ball speed-ups, paddle-shrinkers and the one I hate most is crazy ball! I couldn’t really separate out the “good” items and “bad” items at first even though it was obvious that those items surrounded in green are good while those in red are bad.  You can also collect stars to do upgrades for the many different items around.

After playing for 20+ levels, I decided to take a break and let my younger brother try it out instead. It was a real bad idea; I was ended up sitting there the rest of the night watching my brother play the game instead! Overall, this is a great game if you enjoy destroying stuff without the stress of time limit.
